AlfanAnt are an act not to be missed. If you’re not tapping your foot to their earwormingly catchy songs you're cracking up at the onstage banter of these two well seasoned performers.

The pair spread their time equally between Tasmania (where Alf lives) and Queensland (where Ant resides). They have toured extensively and supporting their critically acclaimed Debut EP “Lucky” and follow up Album "Aurora Australis".

“When thinking of the quintessential Aus-folk-roots sound it is hard to go past the good honest story-telling fun that Alfanant bring to every show they play. Two experienced songwriter-musicians backed by their own musical careers, Alfanant remind us all why we picked up guitars and started jamming with mates in the first place!”

“Two guys. two guitars plenty of banter and RAD rockin' folk music - What a bloody good show!"

Melissa O'Bryan Solbar, Maroochydore

Lucky EP Jan 2018
Instead of the usual hiring of a house on the beach through Air BnB, Alf decided to hire the renowned Brisbane Recording studio "Airlock" to celebrate his 45th year. He enlisted the services of Sound Recording Genius Yanto Browning and invited all of his friends (musically inclined or not) to help celebrate!

The result was Lucky; a four track piece of Alt-Folk/Country Magic!

From the heartbreaking title track Lucky of past losses and loves, the dynamic call to arms of "Comes a Time", the intimate harmonies which take you into the cabin with the truckie as he drives you across the Nullarbor in 2 Weeks, to the final tongue in check, singalong-foot stomp of Your Kind.

This EP is a moment in time recorded by a couple of journeymen singer-songwriters. If you value quality and something a little bit "out of the box" from your songwriters, AlfanAnt's Lucky EP will not only suffice, it will make you beg for more!

Aurora Australis

2019 saw the release of their anticipated LP, national touring and major festivals including the Gympie Muster and Horizon Festival before the world went to shit and COVID shut everything down for two years and Alf started making honey...
